Hakka tulou
Today we went to visit the most famous complex of tulou (earth buildings) built by the Hakka people. It was a long trip, but worth it! Such a marvelous place, immersed in step-fields valleys… and in a beautiful sunny day!
Wind, waves and sand
That’s the gorgeous bay where daddy went swimming. This time we came back when the sun was still up, but it was too windy to stay long, to suntan or to swim ![]()
Anyway I enjoyed myself immensely: I found an abalone shell, tried to eat some sand
, was sitting on a rock… but what I especially loved was walking on the beach, at each step opening wide my toes to feel the sand with my feet. ![]()
How beautiful is the sea?!
Enjoying the early summer
It’s really warm and sunny, so I can finally wear all my light clothes ![]()
Ain’t I cute with that little hat? ![]()
Daddy even managed to go swimming; he said the water was still cold but the cleansing experience of a spring swimming in this gorgeous bay was priceless.
Back to the island
We went back to the island, where the weather is much nicer (but the food is worse) and everything is more natural. This time we went by ourselves, with daddy driving the whole trip. As said before, I really love travelling! ![]()
Mommy said a very funny and sad sentence at the same time: “This place is still like the original China, which is sadly disappearing.. but I actually find myself hoping it develops faster!!”
Reading books in bed
I have so many cute books now, full of pictures and words in many languages. My parents often read with me, telling me the names and the stories of all those animals, fruits and objects. I already shout excited when I recognize the cat, the rabbit, the elephant (although I only saw the first animal for real until now
) and the comb… I also learned to pass the comb (the real one) on top of my hair ![]()
